They Aren't Your Friends

Answer these quick questions for yourself:
Do your friends make you feel worse about yourself?
Do you not tell your friends about your goals because they will make fun of you for it?
Do your friends hate on you when you step outside your comfort-zone and try something new?
If you answered yes to any of those three questions do yourself a favor, CUT THEM OFF.
They are only holding you back. Think about it on a primal level, imagine you were like your caveman ancestors and the other men in your tribe hoped that you failed, hoped that you didn't hunt something so you could feed your family. The tribe would be in shambles. It's literally unnatural to hang with people who don't raise you up.
Especially when you have big goals. See when you first start chasing your own fitness goals, your own business, or just trying to get better at a new skill your dream is very delicate. You need to put your dreams/goals in an environment that encourages growth.
And I'm not saying this just to say it, my first 2 years of high school I transferred to a private school with all new kids because I thought a fresh start would be great, and it was, at first. Overtime when I started to grow on social media and I started popping up on everyone's FYP that environment turned to cracking jokes, sly comments, and envy. I started to not post as much and began to try to hide who I actually was. So my junior year I transferred back to my old school with my friends that had supported me from the start. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
They encourage my growth, for me to work hard, and they defend my name to anyone.
Whether you have to get a whole new friend group, make friends with older people, or join a community like the one I'm going to be creating, do it.
